Rock out with wood

Talk about putting the wood to work This video filmed at the wood shop at Buljan Middle School in Roseville, CA, shows how music and wood shop go hand and hand. With the ability to use the wood shop to build guitars, students learn to things at once, able to build something then learn from the same thing the built. The one thing that caught my attention is that the school district dose not pay for any building material or any classes, its all ran by donations. Amazing in my eyes I must say.

  1. The video is very interesting. It combines two different subjects, music and wood shop, meet together in one class. The video shows one can't live with out the other. The class reaches at a certain age that there more concern with music videos on tv. This specific wood shop class takes the student from an epic start of building an instrument from scratch and be able to play it at the end.

  3. That is so cool! I love how the kids are doing something they enjoy doing. It is also something that will be used, not just some little wood thing that gets thrown away at the end of the year. I also loved how the teacher felt about the students and their work. Very, very good teacher!
