Text books of the future!

With the price of books slowly increasing a good alternative could be to have all of the books transferred to a small file and could be accessed through wireless devices, Computers, lap tops and other devices. Colleges could have codes for all of the books on file and they would still be able to sell the code. By converting them to a computer file they will be able to save money on packaging, shipments, and having to spend money on new editions. The books could be updated or changes through software that the book companies will have. This would save schools and students alike.

High Tech Wood Working at BCCC

Right here at the college is one of the most known woodworking program in the community colleges across america. known for the wood turning classes and also cabinet making class, the college is beyond it time with high tech wood working. the class has state of the art wood turning equipment and also a state of the art wood cutting machine that is computer ran. here is a look at what is taught in the program as well as the history of wood turning at bucks.

Wood Working with the click of a mouse

i was able to find a video showing off a new machine, Format 4 CNC machine. this machine can cut wood that can be used to make different cabinets and other wood working items. this is the future of what wood working will be going to and how high tech it will get.

Wood Working and going green

In the wood shop much wood waste is produced and it just thrown away. the wood can be used a a ground cover or used for other projects around the school. Anything is possible in the future and the future is another way to fuel things. in this video it is easy to see how wood is used to fuel something as well as many other things.

Food Revolution

I do not know if anyone has seen the show on the network ABC called food Revolution? It is a show about a man trying to change the way Americans eat, the man focuses on changing unhealthy foos in schools to healthy food for the kids of the future. He goes town to town, school to school to try to change the eating habits and better them for the future to come. If anyone is interested it comes on ABC tuesday nights at 8 0 clock. His goal is for anyone who watches to get inspried and be part of the movement of the future.

Physical Education

If they take P.E. out of schools in the future to save money on the budget then things will get worse for overweigt students and younger adults because even with P.E. in schools students are still getting their exercise in class from actitivites. America has to take control of their own weight and diet and do whats right and best for their bodies to lead long and healthy active lives.

In the future exercising will be a goal that everyone will want to try to succeed in because it can lead to a long and healthy life. With human life expanding over the course of years, people will exercise better and also eat heaither because of the life expansion of humans being longer and longer.

P.E. in the future

In the future of physical education the obesity rate will decline because people are realizing what is unhealthy to eat and many place like schools are baniing unhealthy snacks. People will start to exercise more and eat less unhealthy food. P.E. teachers will become personal trainers for stundts to motivate them in doing more than just playing video games and eating chips on the couch. The more guidness and the more encouragment the more young adults will listen. It starts at home with the parents then starts with the schools where teachers need to care about the students.

P.E. 2020

P.E. 2020 are new gudelines for physical education and activity for the year 2020. It is about eating healthier and exercising everyday, making part of every childs and adults life.

No more unhealthy packed lunches

A Chicago school has banned kids from bringing packed lunches to school unless a student has a medical note to bring his/her packed lunch to school. The school has banned packed lunches because of students bringing lunches that are high in calories, fats, and more these are called UNHEALTHY LUNCHES! So the school sells lunch that is healthy for every student BUT the child must pay for the lunch even if packed lunches are banned. This will help kids to start eating healthy. More and more schools will join the move in banning packed lunches in the future to stop the rise in obesity in the schools

Right from the Wood Workers Mouth

I was able to find a website message board where wood shop teacher of today talk about where the class could and will end up down the road. its pretty interesting to see what teachers have to say about the trade and also where it could go. also the source and the content of the comments on the message board are as true and right to the point you can get, its helps to get the full view from the people them selfs who run the shops.

In the future of Physical Education this graph is what NC Healthy Schools.com wants to accomplish in the future. I believe it will happen because right now we are in the middle of an epidemic with obesity but in time it will change!

The Wood shop of the Future

In the future of classrooms and the woodworking shop many things will be different but most of the tools with stay the same. the tools will improve in safety features and more options able to be put on a tool, like lazes and measuring devices. the future is here with smart boards and LCD TV's along with table saws that can detect ski and save a finger from the blade dropping down. the technology will make it easier for student to see what they need top build or learn and also having interaction with the material being learned, makes students learn it better and faster.
