P.E.

Physical education of today, the present shows students how to communicate with one another and interact. P.E. of today helps kids come together and play with one onther with lessons and activities also sports. With activity in schools of today it can lead to sportsmanship, leaders, mentors, and more. Exercise can help us all.

  1. I dont think that you present enough evidence to suggest that exercise can bring about leadership, mentorship, and sportsmanship. While some might say that they create an environment to nurture these abilities, they depend on many more outside factors than whether or not someone exercises. -P.Maldonado

  2. I agree that P.E. is very beneficial in schools. The skill set and interactions learned in sporting events help develop social skills. Kids learn how to communicate, work as a team, and be leaders with sporting activities. I think the budget cuts that schools are dealing with today have hurt these extra activities outside the core subjects of learning. Funding for Physical Education as well as Music programs must retained. We cannot lose these types of activities from schools as they help to make our children well rounded individuals. P.E. is especially needed as more and more of our young children lead a less active lifestyle and are having issues with weight and obesity. Too many kids today sit around and play video games or text and do not get the exercise they need. P.E. is one way to keep kids active.

  3. Although some would argue your comment, I can see where you're coming from. Sports and such are all about the team and being the leader. it can definitely help some kids get more comfortable and confident.

  4. Communication is key to successful relationships. Communication skills should be presented to children from a young age. Building communication skills alongside athletic activities is great for mind and body. I hope more coaches, and other adults, focus on nurturing and teaching children additional life skills.
