In this video that i found, Before President Obama was president he was asked if he would send his daughter to a school that he was being interviewed at. He explains that the school itself needed many renovations and under his presidency he would make sure that he would provide more funding for schools to make them better on an educational level but also to make the schools gymnasiums and other miscellaneous things much more enjoyable for children.

Question Mr. President... WHERE IS THAT FUNDING! No one is seeing any increase in funding, quite the contrary they are cutting funding! It is disgusting what is valued and under valued in this country. Every year this country falls further and further behind the rest of the world in standards of education. Compared to other developed nations we are quickly falling as they are rising much quicker. So again I ask... MR. PRESIDENT WHERE IS THE FUNDING! WHERE IS THE REFORM!
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how EVERYONE talks the talk but won't walk the walk. I mean, yes it's hard to just save up $16 million, but it's not impossible. Instead of spending so much money on unnecessary things, why not take a percentage of it and put it toward renovating schools like the one mentioned? I went to Harry S Truman, and let me tell you something, IT WAS HOT!!! Although we had the machines, we did not have enough money to hook them up and keep them running. AND the machines were put in because of the band parents who did massive amounts of fundraising.
